Repola was a link of large rearrangement chain in the Finnish industry in the early 1990’s. It was active only between 1990 and 1996, but it was the largest industrial company in Finland. Repola was formed as a result of merging Rauma-Repola Ltd and Yhtyneet Paperitehtaat Ltd.

Further, in 1996 Repola and forest industry company Kymmene Ltd were merged, and current UPM Ltd was born. UPM saved the forest industry parts of Repola, but other business (incl. metal industry) was sold.

The share of Repola was listed in the Helsinki Stock Exchange from 1991 to 1996.

Nature of business: Multifunctional; pulp & paper industry, heavy metal industry, engineering.

Repola gave only one share issue during its history. These share certificates were signed by Mr. Jaakko Lassila and Tauno Matomäki, who worked as president of the company all along.
