Nokia was founded in 1865 as a wood grinder. It grew to multifunctional company, which manufactured for example paper, rubber galoshes, cables and communications network equipment and devices. In the early 1990’s all other business except mobile phone networks and devices were sold, and the company was focused in communications. In 2013 Nokia sold its mobile phone division to Microsoft and continues now as a global network manufacturer.

The share of Nokia has been listed in the Helsinki Stock Exchange since 1915. Today the share is also traded in New York.

Nature of business formerly: Electronics, cables, machinery, paper, power and chemicals, rubber and floorings. Later mostly mobile phones and networks.

This is the first loan of the era of Mr. Jorma Ollila managing Nokia. Nokia was then in crisis and turning quickly into mobile phone business, and the loan offered a 12,2 % yield. In the same year 1992 Nokia introduced the first mass-produced GSM phone in the world. The model was named 1011. It weighted 475 grams and costed almost 1 400 euros.

Ensimmäinen Ollilan valtakauden laina. Keskellä suurta murrosta sinnitellyt kriisiyhtiö tarjosi 12,2 % kuponkikoron. Saman vuoden lopussa Nokia toi markkinoille maailman ensimmäisen sarjavalmistetun GSM-puhelimen, jonka mallinumero oli 1011. Vehje painoi 475 grammaa ja maksoi 8 250 markkaa.
